I’m back?

Long time no blog posts ... my apologies <3

My life has been hectic but at the same time it’s just been normal. I’ve been working 40 hours a week per usual ; sometimes I hang out with friends or the occasional boy toy. Most exciting in my life is that I’ve decided to go back to college! This is a big deal to me because when I went to college for a year out of high school I did amazing!! But I had to drop all my classes at the beginning of my sophomore year because of some trouble at home. I decided not to go back once I got back on my feet because I didn’t truly know what I wanted to do for the rest of my life.

Ive been working in the hospitality industry for almost 4 years now and I’ve decided this is my career path… you don’t really need a degree most of the time you can just move up with experience but I want to know all the things that I could possibly need before I start working at a higher roll. The overall goal is to get my degree and move back to Oklahoma to work for one of my tribes casinos // hotels. I want to move down there to be closer to my community and all my people! My dad and all his family are in Oklahoma, my mom’s parents are both across the border in Arkansas, and then I really want to be apart of tribal events and be involved in that community. So I have a goal I’m working towards and a whole five year plan,,, cross your fingers I’m able to accomplish it all!

Right now I am currently sitting in an Einsteins bagels typing this up on my new laptop my grandma got me for my birthday <3 I am so incredibly grateful  for this gift and I could not thank her enough. I think this will be really good for when I go back to school; it’s also good to start making my blog posts again! My grandma said she is so proud of me and when I asked her why she said “forgive me I’m not sure how else to say it but you seem normal” <3 when I was in high school and even middle school I struggled A LOT with bad behavior and bad mental health. I told my Nene (grandma) that my meds really help me now, and she said “its not just the meds you really put in the work” it felt really good for her to say that because I did put in the work!! I did 3 years of therapy twice a week (dbt and individual) I’ve also continued going to therapy since that and will continue to do so until the day I die. Some people can get away with no therapy; but I know I’m one of those people who will need therapy for the rest of their life, and that’s okay.

I said I’m sitting in an Einsteins but I didn’t say what one… its located in Rogers AR,,, kind of close to my nenes house and when I say close I mean over an hour away.. but I had to drive out here to pick up the laptop!

Ive been doing a TON of thrifting while I’m here I’m going to have to slow my roll I already had to get a third suitcase to fly home with LOL. When I was in fort smit the thrifting was sooooo good and I went a little ham … but I did get some really good clothes for work!! I got some nice sweaters and nice blouses. I also got some really cool necklaces for like $1.25 at an antique store and some other cute little trinkets. I’ve gotten some good things in Bentonville and Rogers too - just this morning I got like 4 nightgowns all for less then $3.50 each.

Maybe I’ll do a little haul blog post? But definitely I will make a haul YouTube video! That’s all I have to tell you at this current moment, I hope everyone is doing well <3

xoxo
