I went back to Arkansas…

Would you believe it I went back to Arkansas! And I flew this time! I was there the 13th of November ,, and I flew home on the 23rd (aka my birthday). I went by myself this time and while Karissa is missed I still had a great time!!

The day I landed nene (my mom’s mom) took me back to her house and I went straight to bed… I was soooo sleepy that day travel takes a lot out of me tbh. Day two I drove to fort smith. I grabbed lunch with my grammy (dad’s mom), and went off to get my haircut. I stopped at nothing bunt cakes to get 2 mini bunt cakes… one for me and one for my friend who cuts my hair, Molly. Molly did a fabulous job at my haircut and I recommend her to everyone! If you ever need a haircut in the fort smith area go to Molly, they work at ulta !!!

After I got my haircut I went to go pick up flowers for my sister Lily, then back to Grammys house where I was going to stay. This trip happened because Lily had a senior recital for her flute playing! I got ready for that at Grammys house then hit the road towards the church it was held at (with the flowers in my back seat) the concert went amazingggg I’ve never gotten to hear her play flute before and I was absolutely blow away at her playing <3 after the concert we all went to Olive Garden to get dinner! It was a great time with all of us.

The next morning on day 3 I woke up and got ready then met my dad at Dennys in fort smith; where we got breakfast and gossiped at the table for 2 hours! It was a fabulous time. After we were done I went back to Grammys house to meet up with my sister Billie Jo and take her antiquing! We found some cool stuff, including a purple necklace, bracelet, and earring set for less than $5 total and 2 other vintage necklaces for $1.15 each. After billie jo and I were done I went back to Grammys house and just chilled for the night.

Day 4 another thrifting day!! My cousins came to my grandmas house and my oldest cousin drove us around after driving over an hour to meet up with us. We went to a Mexican bakery at first and I bought them all treats then we went to savers ! Aka my favorite kind of thrift store … and we don’t have any in Michigan :( then we went to goodwill and I found some Christmas presents for my mom (don’t flame me for buying used Christmas presents I’m saving the environment) after goodwill we went to an antique store and then my oldest cousin had to drive beck to his city so we went back to Grammys house.

After we were done gossiping at Grammys house we went on our way and I actually just drove to fort smith to my sister Lily’s house! I thought she wasn’t home at the time so I quickly went to goodwill while I waited on her! This was my favorite thrifting trip of the vacation because I found 3 really good quality vintage patterned sweaters! Perfect for work!! When I was done there I went back to Lily’s house and just chilled in her room until she got home (her roommate let me in)

When Lily got home we went out to dinner at Olive Garden and got unlimited soup salad and breadsticks… but instead of salad I just asked for a big bowl of olives ! And the waiter gave it to me !! Lily also pointed out that that waiter was flirting with me lol it was a fun time! When done with dinner we went to the pharmacy and back to Lily’s house. Lily’s roommate invited their friend Sam over and the 4 of us just stayed up gossiping, watching YouTube videos, and eating candy/snacks.

On day 5 I drove about an hour from fort smith to meet up with my papi and nana (moms dad & his wife) it was good for the most part but were not going to get into that here… when we were done with lunch I drove the 1.5 hours back to my nenes house in the mountains. When I got home that day I fell asleep around 6pm and slept until 7am.

Day 6 was a super lazy day, nene and I just stayed home! She worked in the yard and I worked on a scrapbook I’m giving my sister as a Christmas gift <3 Day seven was very eventful… we went to tj maxx, hobby lobby, goodwill, Waffle House for lunch and then harps on our way home! And then again we both fell asleep early

Day 7 was super exciting!! My grandma and my mom gave me the money to buy a laptop <3 I went to goodwill in the morning around 9am, and picked up a few things… I got some really good nightgowns, work shirts, and a denim dress. After goodwill I headed over to Best Buy to buy the laptop I’ve been wanting! I went in as soon as they opened and bought it! When I was done there I went over to the bagel store and ordered a Texas brisket sandwich, a mr pib, and I sat down to set up my laptop! After about two hours I left to get gas and head on my next adventure… I went to a house on the outskirts of Eureka springs , because there was a lady doing an estate sale by appointment only! I found some good stuff, see my haul under the haul tab on my blog. I went back to my Nenes around 2pm and we watched tv together.

Day 8… I started feeling a bit sick I’ve got some type of sinus thing,,,, in the late morning I went to town to get some sufead, obviously I stopped at a thrift store too :D I bought some craft supplies, magnets, some Princess Dianna vhs, and a little trinket box! I grabbed some lunch then headed home! Unfortunately I forgot to buy laundry detergent like nene asked…

Day 9 was my birthday eve :D I woke up around 6am (per usual on this trip unfortunately), but then I went back to sleep until 10:30!! It was fabulous I felt so well rested. I got ready and had a lazy start to my morning just talking with nene.

I headed to town around 12:30, first I went to these two antique stores- one of them it was the last day they were open! I was so excited because I found some clip on earrings for my Nene! She had been on the hunt for them my whole trip, I got her 3 pair. I also got myself a few jewelry pieces (everything was 50%-75% off!!!!). I stopped for some ice cream and food, then headed to hobby lobby. I brought my letter stamps but realized I forgot a few of the letters… so I bought smaller letter stamps that go on a glass block; instead of the wood ones that I already have.

I tried to go to an estate sale but couldn’t find the house so I went to a thrift store. Unfortunately as soon as I got there I realized lily was 10 minutes away. So I when through the store super quick and hit the road towards Walmart where we were meeting.

Lily arrived a few minutes before me. When I got there we went to the gas station , got some drinks, and hit the road. The drive to Nenes house is windy and long but we made it eventually. We settled in at the house, and I started preparing the craft space!! We ended up scrapbooking for like five hours. Nene made chicken and dumplings for us and we had lemon bars as birthday cake … I passed out before midnight.

Day 10 aka my birthday was the last day sadly :( I woke up around 6am and finished up packing a bit. Everyone else woke up around 10am. Once everyone was awake we made cinnamon rolls , Nene made bacon, and everyone sung me happy birthday. We had to leave the house around 1pm; so we could take Lily to her car in the Walmart parking lot, and get me to the airport.

This was a fabulous trip to visit my family and I cannot wait to see them all again soon. That’s all for now…
